Thank you so much for taking the trouble to check on this grave stone. It is much
appreciated. So it tells us that my 3rd great grandmother Ellin, wife of Edward EDWARDS of
Ty Coch died in 1836 aged 65. This is rather strange. This would mean she was born in
1771. She was married to Edward in 1802 and would have been 31 then. She had 7 children
that I have seen birth or baptism records of. These were born in 1808, 1812, 1814, 1816,
1818, 1821 and 1825. She would have been 37 when she had her first child and 54 when she
had the last one. This is quite old to be having a child. Also there is an Ellin Edwards
aged 55 recorded at Ty Coch living with Edward Edwards and two of the children in the 1841
census. I suppose this could have been a second wife or even a sister but it is all very
mysterious. Anyway I am most grateful for your help in visiting the cemetry and I guess I
will have to try researching other avenues to make sense of the data.
Regards
Brian
