aged 51 years; leaves a wife and five children - John H. Davis, Jr.,
Lizzie, Jane, Thomas, Richard, and Mary [that's six names]; native of
North Wales.
2. Rev. J.J. Morris, Died 7 Dec 1895, Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA: (Long
article. Only most relevant points stated below.) born in Llanelly,
South Wales in 1823; emigrated to America in 1854; ordained a minister
in 1878; survived by a wife, seven sons and two daughters - Thomas, a
merchant in California; Matthew A., superintendent of coal mines in
Virginia; Jesse A., Coal and Iron detective in Olyphant; Paul, a city
pumpman in Johnstown; Silas, a car inspector at Fairview for the Lehigh
Valley; Benjamin, bookkeeper for Lehigh Valley R.R. Co. at Sugar Notch;
John R., a fire boss for Lehigh & Wilkes-Barre Coal Co. at Sugar Notch;
Mrs. John B. Magee of Plymouth; Mrs. John H. Thomas, of Phillipsburg,
Pa., wife of late mine inspector D.H. Thomas.
3. Thomas T. Jones, Died 9 Dec 1895, Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA: 70 years
of age; came to U.S. in 1869 with his family from Cwmbach Aberdare,
Wales; wife died six years ago; leaves the following adult children:
John Jones, Evan Jones, Mrs. Albert Davis of Wilkes-Barre and Jenkin
Jones of Plymouth.
