1. John M. Thomas, Died 22 Oct 1895, Luzerne County, PA, USA: came to
Luzerne County 20 years ago from Australia, where he had been engaged in
gold mining; twice married, and leaves a wife and son; born on
Pencornhwrdd farm, Rhandirmwyr, Wales; 56 years of age; brother of David
W. Thomas of South Meade street.
2. Daniel J. Jones, Died 1 Nov 1895, Luzerne County, PA, USA: fire
boss in the Red Ash colliery No. 1; came to US over a quarter of a
century ago when a boy with his parents, who are now deceased, from
Rhandirmwyn, Wales; 39 years of age and leaves a wife and four children;
leaves several brothers - Morgan N. Jones, South Meade street; William
D. Jones, bookkeeper for the Red Ash colliery; and a sister, Mrs. James
V. James, all of this city.
3. William J. Jones, Died 13 Oct 1895, Former Resident of Wilkes-Barre,
PA, USA: born in North Wales, but was a resident of Wilkes-Barre for a
number of years; married Jane D. Roberts in 1878 in Randolph, WI; 48
years of age; brother of Mrs. John T. Griffiths, widow of the late
ex-County Treasurer John T. Griffiths of this city; left a wife and four
small children; funeral took place 15 Oct 1895.
