1. Tavalaw JONES, Died 17 Mar 1898, Kansas City, MO, USA: aged 67 years; born in 1831 at
the village of Kenfig Hill in the vale of Glamorgan; emigrated to U.S. in 1862; survived
by his widow and five daughters, Mrs. D.O. Evans, of Youngstown, Ohio, wife of the well
known music publisher; Mrs. W.J. Edwards, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Charles Stoofore, of
Oklahoma; Mrs. George Dalloff and Mrs. William Clancy, of Kansas City.
2. John E. EMANUEL, Died 15 Apr 1898, Plymouth, PA, USA: age 46 years; survived by a
wife and two children, and also two brothers; native of Cwmpark, Rhondda Valley, Wales;
resident of U.S. for 20 years.
3. Evan WILLIAMS, Died 24 Apr 1898, Warrior Run, PA, USA: drowned; son of William T.
Williams; aged 18 years and 8 months; born in Merthyr Tidvill, South Wales; survived by
his father and step-mother, the latter having raised him from infancy. He is also
survived by one sister, Mrs. Thomas Thomas; four step-sisters, Martha, Mary, Sarah and
Catherine, and two half brothers, Isaac and William.
