You need to find your nearest library (possibly LDS family history library or
local family history society) which holds the microfiche for the GRO (General
Register Office) Indexes of Births, Marriages & Deaths in England & Wales from 1
July 1837. There are separate indexes for each quarter of each year and they
don't take long to search.
The death index will show your grandmother's full name and age and will also give
you the reference number necessary for purchasing her death certificate from the
GRO. (But not necessary if you get it from the office where her death was
registered). You have narrowed down the time frame to twelve years. That should
take about an hour to search - and much less than that if she died nearer to 1905.
Good luck.

Subject: [MER] Penryhn, Wales
My grandmother Kate (Catherine) Williams died in Penrhyn, Merionith. I do not
know when. She gave birth to her last child in 1905 and passed away between that
time and 1917. Her husband was buried in the Anglican cemetery, so I presume that
she was also.
Not only do I want to find her death date for my family history, but also our
family now have a family medical problem and I would like to trace her death date
and what caused her death. Not knowing her death date I don't think I would be
able to obtain her death certificate.
Would appreciate any help I can get.
