Subject: Re: [MER] Free Census Project
There are two volunteers in Kent ready and willing to transcribe 19th
Century Census returns for the villages of their ancestors! Surely this is
the way to do it?
And what is entailed in organising team of volunteers?
And how do we do either, if we cannot visit Welsh Record Offices?
More information please!

Hello Judy
First of all, the transcribing is done at home - all you need is a
microfiche reader (or access to one); we supply everything else including
the microfiche.
But first we need public spirited people to step forward and become
organisers. An organiser recruits and supervises a team of volunteers to
transcribe a county or part of a county. Welsh county projects will be
small; Merioneth 1891 is just over a dozen fiche sets; the Warwicks project
for Aston and Birmingham, which I run, has 74 sets!
Please have another look at the project web site - all is explained there.
