There are two volunteers in Kent ready and willing to transcribe 19th
Century Census returns for the villages of their ancestors! Surely this is
the way to do it?
And what is entailed in organising team of volunteers?
And how do we do either, if we cannot visit Welsh Record Offices?
More information please!

Subject: [MER] Free Census Project
Hello everyone
The Free Census project aims to transcribe ALL the UK 19th century census
returns to create an online 'free-to-view' database.
Currently we have nearly 50 projects covering a county or part of a
county.
All but one are English, the only Welsh project covers Anglesey. The
first
Scots project is in the pipeline.
We would dearly love to hear from anyone who would be willing to organise
a
Welsh county project. All the support you need will be provided
including
microfiche and software.
If like us, you believe this information should be freely available and
available for free, why not drop me a line?
Rgds
