My great grandfather was first married to Catherine Evans in Llanenddwyn, Merionethshire. Her father was an Evan Evans. In the 1830s, having lost his first? wife, Evan married Catherine nee Williams late Williams (she was born Williams and married a Williams).
I also have a photo of a sheep-shearing in which Evan Evans (Bryn Mawr) is shown but I have no Edwards or Davis families in that tree.

My g.g.grandfather was Edward Edwards from Wales. When my mother was young her great grandmother, Anna Davis Edwards talked of a relative named Evan Evans. My brother's middle name was Evan after him. I am wondering if it the same man you mentioned in your post. They lived in the county of Merionethshire. Have you ever heard of the Edwards or Davis family? I would appreciate finding how the Evans family was related. Pam Warren
