Hamilton, Canada.
I checked Tegla Davies' autobiobraphy 'Gyda'r Blynyddoedd' for further
clues. He admits that he knew very little about his grandmother's family
on his father's side - she died at a young age apparently. Later in
life, Tegla Davies met with people connected with his grandmother's
family. Two surnames are mentioned: Bond at Pentredwr (Llantysilio
Parish), and a Price family living in Bwlchgwyn in 1896.
There is a little more in the book about the Price connection through
the parents of the Rev. Philip Price, Bwlchgwyn - Samuel and Ann Price.
Ann Price claimed to be a close relative of Tegla Davies' father on the
maternal side and that her people came from Llandrillo - the
neighbouring parish to Llandderfel.

My experience with the township of Bodrydd in Aberdaron is that 10s of families owned 10s of parcels of land in the 1600-1800s.

Beware as I am pretty sure this will turn out to be a township and it is a hundred years prior to your family so there might have been 20-30 parcels of land in this place if it were a township.
Ian
in the document you sent, there were references to many parcels of land in Morfa Escob.
I am fairly certain that it was either a township or an hundred in which Rees ap Morgan Jenkin owned property.
Thank you .
I've ordered copies of his probate file -- and hope to be able to decipher the old script.

My Thanks to both Marjorie and Ian. I'll follow up as they've suggested on the Merionethshire site on today's Digest Vol 4, Issue 102:

look here:

Cwrtmawr Docs are a NLW collection
www.llgc.org.uk
A 1649 will was most likely proved in the PCC (Canterbury) -
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/browse-refine.asp?CatI...
No such person is listed. No Rice/Rhys/Rees anyway - try Reece and Reese for completion.

Hello Anna
Alwyn Ap Huw put the following website on the list recently|
http://cat.llgc.org.uk/probate
It gives Wills up to 1858. I found the Search engine very good and was able
to search under place name and surname. It is possible to read the Wills on
line and having done that I chose to order seven we cost me £24.5
I hope that this is what you wanted.
best wishes
