Good Evening,
I wonder if SKS with access to the 1891 Census covering Llanaber,
Merionethshire, would check for the family of Owen Parry aged 47 born
Llanfaelog, Anglesey. I would appreciate any information on his family.
Many Thanks.

Hi,
I'm trying to find my SYMOND family who lived in Tywyn (Towyn) in the 1891
Census.
Can anyone please tell me what district/parish/area (or whatever it may be)
that I'd have to look under to find TYWYN (TOWYN) in the county of
Merioneth in the 1891 Census?

Doreen and John.
Thank you very much for the information on Gwernbiseg. Do you have family
from the Llanycil area?

Dear Ann,
Sorry, I thought the reply had been posted to the list, too.
Please don't trouble yourself - someone with the census has already
answered my plea.
But thanks for remembering me,

Hi Alan,
I also have a cousin living in Corwen and she remembers Vincent and Greta Evans, but unfortunately does not know what happened to the family. She does not think that any of them are still in the area.
If Trevor (York) finds any information please would he reply to the list as well, as I am sure that many others, like myself, would like to know the results of his queries.

Dear Ann,
I can confirm that there is a(n) 1841 census for Llanfor/Llanfawr. In
return for this priceless <G> information, may I crave a lookup, please?
I would love to have the 1841 census extract for Cwmchwilfod - a farm
/smallholding - plus reference (i.e. HO107/xxxx; folio yy; page zz and
schedule number), please. My 3xgt g/father, John JONES, & family moved
from there to Llandrillo during the period 1820-1840, but it's just
possible that a relative took over the property.
Many T'sIA,
Trevor (York,UK)
Dear Doreen & John, please don't apologize, you've helped more than you'll
know. I've been trying to find Hugh's place of birth for the longest time.
Not knowing his parents, but just that his grandfather, Evan Davies was "of
Chester" led me into thinking that's where he was born. And now I know that
his place of birth was within Merionethshire. Another brick falls from the
wall. Thanks, patricia

The answer is yes to both questions, the 1841 census for Llanfor should be
available in Dolgellau records office.

Hi Patricia
My fault, I should have explained. Didn't realize you weren't
familiar with the 1841 census. Yes the FS and MS mean female servant
and male servant. The yes & no refers to whether they were born in
the county or not---not very helpful I'm afraid. They don't give the
relationships either so you have to guess.
