Hi,
Is anyone else interested in DAVIES and MORRIS in Trawsfynydd?
David DAVIES married Sarah MORRIS at Trawsfynydd in 1782. They then
baptise children there followed by another, my great great grandfather,
John DAVIES, at the independent chapel at Penstryd in 1799. He is later
in Dolgellau.
When David and Sarah baptise their children they are descibed as of
Beddycoedwr. Doers anyone knowwhere this is? Again it's one of those
locations/dwellings that don't seem to show up on any maps.
Regards,
Chris Watson

PUGH Dolgellau, Pandyrodin
VAUGHAN Llangelynin, Llwyngwril
Alwyn and Patricia,
If memory serves correctly there is also a Llanfachreth in Anglesey which
would be quite a challenge for Cupid's dart :)

The simple answer is NO!
Llanfachreth is about 2 miles north of Dolgellau, Gwyddelwern is near Corwen,
about 30 long, slow, miles away (especially if you are stuck behind a
tractor!!!)
However, when Cupid's arrow strikes, lovers from Gwyddelwern and Llanfachreth
have, occasionally, been joined:-)
Why do you ask?

Patricia:
The following is the map reference for Gwyddelwern on the Multimap website.
Clip and copy this to your web browser and it should get you to the right
spot.

Maes Gamedd is located to the north of Gwyddelwern about halfway between a
minor (yellow) road heading north/south and to the east of a house called
Oror.
The grid reference on the Ordnance Survey map is SJ079473
