Hello Glyn,
I have looked through the monumental inscriptions for the old cemetry of St
Tudnos (new cemetry i do not have) and for St Georges in the town too.
St Tudnos, llandudn has 3 David WILLIAMS listed.
in short (have full detail of wording though)
grave D25
Mary WILLIAMS widow of David WILLIAMS of Ty Mawr, Llansantffraid, died 1881
aged 82 - also son Roger WILLIAMS 1925 aged 80 and only daughter Catherine
died 1926 aged 84.
grave D26
David WILLIAMS late of Somerset House, Llandudno died 1902 aged 81 also
Elizabeth nee COOLING his wife died 1869 aged 38 and Emily WILLIAMS daughter
1871 aged 3.
grave G325 - all in Welsh
John James WILLIAMS d1878 aged 8; Polly WILLIAMS1879 aged 2mo; Elizabeth
WILLIAMS 1889 aged 55 and David WILLIAMS 1904 aged 68
only grave with joiner or carpenter is for a Mr THOMAS
In St GEorges only 1 David WILLIAMS grave 34
David WILLIAMS of Ty Draw died 1844 aged 77 and Ellen wife 1851 aged 75
the D25 and D26 are interestingly in amongst c8 WILLIAMS graves in a row in a
row infront which may or may not be coincidental.
I hope this helps or at least narrows down where to look. Both cemetries are
accessable when youvisit the town of Llandudno and I have a map of grave
locations if one of them proves to be your gt gt grandfather.
I will look at some other material over the next week or so.
Sincere Best Wishes
Mark Hughes of Wirral, Cheshire.
