Hi Rachel,
sorry, no, I don't have a house number. But what a lovely thought! A
fantasy flashed through my mind of building a miniature 1851 Caernarfon and
populating it with little dolls of all the inhabitants, kind of like
Dungeons and Dragons but friendlier...I can just see little Joseph and
Richard with their schoolbooks tied with string...and there's my gggtaid,
an old man sitting in the sun outside his grocery shop in Castle
Street...by any chance, do you have a Harry Hughes in your line, one who
married Catherine Mary Bryan round about 1900 and had 7 sons and 2
daughters? One of the sons was John Hughes, naval captain. Bit of a long
shot but you never know.

Am intrigued by your message, as I believe I may have also had relatives at
Pool Hill. The likeliest candidates for the family I am searching for are at
11 Pool Hill in the 1851 census. They are:
Richard Hughes- Hd- 30
Margaret Hughes- WF- 37
Richard Hughes- S- 5
Margaret Hughes- Dau- 3
Hugh Hughes- S- 11 Mo.
Interesting that the wife was older than the husband in both cases. Do you
have the street address for your family? Perhaps your Joseph and my Richard
were schoolmates.
