Judy,
I haven't come across a Catherine yet but will definitely let you know if
I do. I have copies of some of the Bishop's Transcripts for Anglesey if you
want me to look for anything.

<< Dear Linda
You are the first person I have found researching Owen in that area.
My great grandmother was Catherine Owen who lived in Bethesda, North Wales.
She was some sort of servant possibly housekeeper to the Parry's of Coetmor
Hall. She had a son called John Henry, born in 1857, who is believed to
be
the illegitimate son of this household.
However she lived with a man called Thomas Parry but doesn't seem to have
married him. I think that this was arranged for her by the family to cover
the name problem and my Grandfather was christened John Henry Parry.
Catherine Owen was born in 1819 according to the census dates and died July
1867. she also had a daughter Hannah born 1851
If you have a stray Catherine Parry who may fit in your tree could you
please contact me.
Regards
Judy in Derbyshire.
