Thanks Ian.
I recall many years ago that I used the service once before but I can't find
the contact address. Is the search available through an online contact?
Kind regards

Subject: [GWYNEDD] Peters
Dear list,
There is a good marriage index for the northern counties of Wls and Salop
in
Dafydd Hayes marriage index c/o Clwyd FHS. There is a fee of 5
pounds for
each search of up to 50 surnames / couples but it has proved invaluable to
me over the years. As it is a fee paying service I should be at pains to
point out that I have no connection whatever with it but have found it
very
useful. It must be especially considered in this case where a
blanket
search for a relatively uncommon surname is called for.
One of the Peters mentioned in Griffiths is the mother of a Mary Goodman
who
d ca 1818 in Llanidan, Agy. I don't know how these Goodmans
exactly fit
in
with my Goodmans (if at all) and so I haven't looked into this at
all but
I
feel there is a connection with William Williams of Ty Newydd,
Llanfihangel
who d in the second half of the 18th century after working in the
East
India
Company. J E Griffiths may shed more light on that connection.
Good luck anyway.
Yours sincerely,
Ian Thompson
