HI ALL
In light of the recent Roose connections i'd like to
submit my interest in this well known Anglesey family;
In my indirect family line I have a Matthew THOMPSON
bc abt 1760. The only other Thompson in this period is
the wife of Jonathon Roose, that is Elizabeth
THOMPSON,a generation before that of Matthews, whom
were married in LLANENGAN Caernarfonshire(I have dates
if any one wants them), both believed to have come
from Birchover in Derbyshire if my memory serves me
well,(sorry, i'm under the influence of a very strong
lager, oh , and vodka, at this present moment in
time!).Anyway, Matthew married Elin ROWLANDS of PLAS
UCHAF LLanwenllwyfo in 1784, whose fathEr was ROWLAND
MORGAN,tenant of LLYS DULAS, and from whom have
descended most of the ROWLANDS'S in the Amlwch area.
According to the JE GRIFFITHS pedigrees a son of
Rowland married a daughter(Elizabeth, again, I think!)
of John Parry of Tregynryg in the parish of
LLanbadrig(for betty). Could this Matthew be a
relation to Elizabeth? ; George Roose was a witness to
his wedding,so there is a strong possibility, and
again, most of the Thompsons in the Amlwch area have
descended from this individual.
Sorry to go on, but any info on this connection
gratefuly recieved.
cofion gorau
ALED.....
