Hi Debra,
I think we corresponded about this before but I now know a lot more
about Gwyddelwern, and Llangar, which may be the other parish you are
thinking of, as some of the Gwyddelwern townships were later transferred
to the parish of Llangar. But even before that people in those townships
were mostly baptised (though not usually married) in Llangar parish
church. I have the Llangar transcripts and will look up Lloyds for you.
I know there were some Lloyds in the cemetery there too.
Unfortunately I am just about to go away until Friday, so will reply
more fully on my return.
Best wishes,
Ann

I need some advice, I am trying to find the family of a John Lloyd born
in 1811 in Gwyddelwern, North Wales. All that I know about John is that
he joined the British Army in Rye, England and ended up in New Brunswick
Canada. I have a copy of his muster roll which gives his birth place.
Someone once told me that Gwyddelwern back in those days was two
parishes does anyone have information on the names of these parishes.
