I noticed in your messages that some of you have LLOYDs in your
ancestry. I realize that there were probably a lot of Lloyds in Wales,
but I too apparently have a few. CATHERINE LLOYD was the mother of JOHN
THOMAS, Gentleman, of Rhosgyll Fawr, Eifionydd, Caernaravonshire. Her
husband was HUGH THOMAS. Her parents were RICHARD LLOYD and ELINOR
HUGHES. Richard's siblings were: GRACE LLOYD (m. ELLIS MORRIS) and
MARGARET LLOYD (m. Richard MADRYN). Their father was HUMPHREY LLOYD AP
DAFYDD, married to JANE GLYNNE (father WILLIAM GLYNNE (Sgt at Arms in the
time of Henry VIII). From that point on it is all APs and I frankly
don't know what to do with them. I am taking this from a chart a lady
made for me from Griffith's "Pedigrees," and I hope it will help
someone== not many dates in this chart.
Going from that Dafydd, this proceeds backward in time to a stopping
point I just picked, where it mentions a Lord of Nannau. Since this
chart is pictorial and not typed up yet, I will just go from Dafydd
downward (backward in time). I don't seem to have a straight up and down
symbol on this keyboard, so I will use / to mean next generation. If
something doesn't look right, let me know--I am copying and I am not good
with Welsh spellings.
