Hello Sue,
I'm glad that I am not the only one to experience trouble with Pwllheli
Register Office. The service by Superintendent Registrar Cyril Jones Evans
and his staff has been atrocious for many years. Mr Jones Evans is the
Registrar, a local councillor, a JP, and an insurance agent, but his
business interests seem to be placed ahead of his public service regarding
BMD's. They never have time for you when you visit as they are too busy
selling insurance, the staff on occasions being plain rude.
There has been a notice in the local newspaper today about their new opening
hours, it seems that you now need to make an appointment even if you need to
register a BM or D.
Regards,
Keith Morris.

Subject: [GWYNEDD] Pwllheli and Porthmadog Register Office
Hello,
Does anyone have experience of the Pwllheli and Porthmadog Register
Office?
I sent off for a birth certificate over a week ago now, with the correct
fee and an SAE, but have not had a reply yet. I tried to ring them
beforehand just to ensure I was writing to the right place but
discovered that they are only open for 2 hours a day, and that they
share their office with another company.
Regards,
Sue Shade
