Subject: [GWYNEDD] RE: Help needed - WILLIAM JONES
I'm still on the search for information on William Jones, my
g-g-grandfather. I've been trying to find the birth certificate for
William.
The family in Wales tell me that I'm on the right track, but I can't find
any "proof" of his parents.
The only thing I found on the film that I was looking at from the "Births
&
Baptisms - 1804 - 1837 - Wales, Caernarvon, Dwygyfylchi", was a WILLIAM -
son
of ROBERT JONES of Penmaenmawr, Dwygyfylchi Parish by ANN his wife was born
Dec 20, 1836 and baptized the 31st, by William Jones (vicar or officer of
the
church).
According to the headstone for William, he was born on Dec 25, 1836. I
thought at first it was 1838 so I checked the "Index to register of BMD for
England and Wales - 1837 - 1980. Nothing there either. I have his parents
as RICHARD and ELLEN (Williams).
After RICHARD and ELLEN I have RICHARD and ANN. On the papers Martin sent
me several years ago he has ROBERT and MARGARET. So I need to start with
WILLIAM'S parents and go back from there. AHHH...it's so frustrating!!!
Hair being pulled out!!!!!!!!!
Can you shed any light on any of this?
