Dear list,
I wonder if anyone with access to JE Griffiths "Pedigrees.." or T Ceiri
Griffiths "Ewysiliau.." could look up Hendrefor, Aberdaron. It is a farm
just between Methlam and Trefgraig. I am interested in finding out about a
Richard Jones of Hendrefor who was active in 1682.
He was party to a deed of 1682 mentioned in my gtx6 grandfather's will of
1724 (possibly a marriage settlement?) the other parties are a Morris
Griffith, Methlam, Aberdaron, and my ancestor himself.
My ancestor was Henry Prichard of Bodrydd, Aberdaron, and his wife was a
Catherine Jones, so Richard Jones might feasibly be the father of either one
(if, of course, at all).
Henry's will helpfully mentions his mother, Catherine vch Richard, but not
his father.
There are no obvious candidates for Richard Jones in the Bangor probate
index pre 1700 but I haven't checked 1700-1750 yet.
Is anyone else interested in Hendrefor or anywhere in Aberdaron pre 1750?
Yours,
Ian Thompson
