the Llangelynin is in Merioneth.
Thanks Christine
In which case I will be able to look for them in the 1861 census for you, but
unfortunately I won't be able to do so until the new year.
In the mean time the North Wales BMD site has the following births for Ann*
Jones born in the Talyllyn sub district (which includes Celynin) from 1851-1853
JONES Anne Talyllyn Gwynedd - Dolgellau TLLN/5/34 1851
JONES Anne Talyllyn Gwynedd - Dolgellau TLLN/5/128 1852
JONES Anne Talyllyn Gwynedd - Dolgellau TLLN/5/137 1852
JONES Anne Talyllyn Gwynedd - Dolgellau TLLN/5/200 1852
JONES Anne Talyllyn Gwynedd - Dolgellau TLLN/5/235 1853
The registrar at Dolgellau is the most helpful registrar to family historians
that I have ever come across. If you e-mail the details above to him he will
probably tell you which of them have a father called Edward. His address is
dylannjones(a)gwynedd.gov.uk
(Again allow for the fact that council offices will be closed between
Christmas and New Year so you may not get a reply until after the end of the festive
season)
If you find any ancestors for you Ann, I have the BT's for Llangelynnin
parish church up to 1847, which I am happy to do look ups from.
All the best
Alwyn
