In the index of wills kept at NLW I noticed there was one for a Michael Hughes, Gent of
Plas (part torn off), Anglesey, who died in 1781. His wife was Jonet Hughes.
One of the beneficiaries of his will was his niece Anne Davies, alias Parry, a widow
living at Llannerchymedd, whose eldest daughter was Margaret Parry, wife of John Owen,
yeoman. I would be very grateful for any information which could show the exact
relationship between Anne and Michael, and identify the Plas.
The other beneficiaries mentioned are:
Jane Lloyd daughter of Richard Owen late of Twrcelyn.
William Hughes, Gent, of Bryn Gole.
Jane Parry of Llannerchymedd, wife of John Roberts, Mason, deceased.
John Griffith, deceased Esq of Garreglwyd.
Michael Parry, yeoman of Tyn y coed Llaneilian.
Esther Morris, widow of William Williams of Beaumaris. she was described as kinswoman.
Michael Hughes son of Hugh Hughes gent late of Lleiniog.
Mary Thomas wife of John Jones, yeoman, Cichle.
Elizabeth Rowland wife of Morris Edwards, yeoman, Bryn Gwallan, Anglesey.
Henry and Michael Thomas, yeomen, nephews, of Bodafon.
Owen Thomas, nephew, blacksmith of Rhosbeirio, and his daughters Jane and Catherine.
Michael Parry, Tyn y coed, Llanidan.
Hopefully one of these may provide the vital clue .
