Yes, John Williams's place of residence was Maes y Keirchie in the County of
Carnvon, gentleman.
Maes y Keirchie, I feel sure, is MaesyGerchen, and nowadays Maesgeirchen,
outside of the city of Bangor, possibly? Any old history from the 19th
century would be much appreciated if anyone knows any. The land passed out
of the family's hands in the late 1800's.
Thanks.
Bonnie

Bonnie,
I suspect that Yanlleihys is LLANLLECHYD (modern spelling - Llanllechid)-
a
nearby parish, and very hilly. Pwll y Gley is a mystery.
Was John Williams at Maes y Geirchen, in the parish of Bangor? This farm
was
in the hands of the same family for several generations (and with
several
variations of spelling).
Regards, David
