Hello Graham,
This may be of some help; Sydney was often used for a girl's name in my
family.
John David married Jane Robert ca. 1720. They lived at Ty tan y graig,
Llanfawr and had a daughter Modlen (Magdalen) who married David Evans-date
unknown- and lived at Cadwst, Llandrillo. David Evans died 1767. They had a
daughter Sydney, known as Sydney Davies.
A Sydney Davies married another David Evans 11/2/1785 at Llanfawr. Is the
marriage you quote a second marriage?
See the wills of Magdalen Jones of Cefn y Meirch 1748 and her daughter Jane
Robert of Ty tan y graig.
Edward.

Hi all,
Could SKs have a look in the PR for the following:
Sydney Davies. She (yes SHE) was married to a Thomas
Griffiths. The
marriage took place in 1821 in Llanfawr. Sydney was living in
Llanfawr at the time. I wonder if she was baptised there? Any chance of a
trawl to see? I think she died in the early 1830's although this is surmise.
There was certainly one child from the marriage: a Gwen Griffiths, born
November 1829 & baptised in Bethel Rhydywernen Hananeel & Pensingrug
Independent Chapel (Llandderferl, Llanfor & Llandrillo).
As ever in
hope!
Graham.
