Subject: [GWYNEDD] marriage look up please. St Peblig 1843
Hello everyone.
I am new to the list as I`m from Wrexham, and it`s a bit of a trek to
Caernarvon Archives.
I have a marriage that I would liked checked if some one is going to the
archives.
I do realise the St Peblig registers are only on microfilm for this date.
I have already tried FMP at the A N Palmer Centre with no luck, the
reason given is -
Some parishes decided not to be involved in the project to make the parish
records available online. Here is a list of these parishes and the diocese
of which they form a part:
Diocese of Bangor, Llanbeblig, which includes Caernarfon.
Isn`t that just typical !!
It`s possible Catherine has another name entered which seems to be Thomas
( according to BMD) , this is causing a bit of confusion.
Griffith was born c 1821, Catherine c 1808, she may have been married
before.
1843 Sept qtr
DAVIES * Griffith / JONES Elizabeth Caernarfon (Llanbeblig), St Peblig
Gwynedd - Bangor CAEC3/01/E451
DAVIES * Griffith / JONES Catherine Caernarfon (Llanbeblig), St Peblig
Gwynedd - Bangor CAEC3/02/E6
There were five children born to Griffith and Catherine. Again I can`t
find their baptisms, perhaps they are not included, estimated years of
birth are taken from US census, the family migrated to Pennsylvania about
1850.
Morris born 11 Nov 1747 Llanddeinolen
William b c 1849 ditto
Jane b c 1847 ditto
John b c 1874 ditto
Griffith b c 1842 ditto.
Thank you very much, really hoping someone can help
Annette Edwards.
