Hi Janice,
The family were at Lancaster Square in 1841, but the head of household was
not Owen but William Jones, blacksmith, age 45.
Children were:
Robert, 25 (blacksmith)
William, 20 (blacksmith)
Catherine, 15
Jane, 15
Edward, 13
Thomas, 10
Elinor, 8
Margaret, 5
Regards,
Keith.

Subject: [GWYNEDD] In search of: Owen Jones, Blacksmith, Conwy before 1851
I am in search of information about the family of Owen Jones who
lived at
Lancaster Square, Conwy. Owen was there prior to 1851 as in that census,
his wife Margaret is listed as "widow of a blacksmith".
In the 1851 census with Margaret, b. abt 1792 are children:
William, son of Margaret (a blacksmith), b. abt 1819
Catherine (William's wife)
Edward, son of Margaret (a blacksmith), b. abt 1829
Thomas, son of Margaret (a blacksmith), b. abt 1831
Margaret, daughter of Margaret b. abt 1836
Two grandchildren under the age of 3 are also there, perhaps children of
William and Catherine.
All of the above in that census were born in Conwy.
I am still in search of Owen in the 1841 census.
If anyone knows of this family, or is related to it, I will be pleased to
hear from you.
Regards,
Janice
