Perhaps I should be looking for William & Susannah Thomas after the 1891
census. All the children seem to carry Thomas in their names also. I've
seen that often with the sons but can't recall ever seeing all the daughters
carry that naming tradition.

Might he be using a double barreled name? I note that Ellen is Ellen
Thomas Knowles? An that Ancestry's usually good matching search engine
isn't find them after 1891 either. Might they have made another
migration?
