We have just added the following indexes to the North Wales BMD
database:
Machynlleth Registration District - Deaths Indexes:
Machynlleth sub-district
1837 - 1950 (9,328 deaths)
Darowen sub-district
1837 - 1917 (5,200 deaths)
Machynlleth and Darowen sub-districts were merged on 1 October 1917 - the
enlarged sub-district continued to be known as "Machynlleth".
Once again, our thanks to Bryn Ellis (the Montgomeryshire co-ordinator for
the project) and his team of volunteers, for their work in photocopying,
transcribing and checking all these index books; and also to the staff of
Machynlleth Register Office, who have given considerable help with the
project.
