That sounds like an English name I heard in a parish in Lincolnshire when I
was searching for some English ancestors. Couldn't the family have come
from there? Near the remnants of an old abbey that is near St. Leonards
Church, I think. Tattersall or somewhere in where the fens were. Does that
strike a bell with anyone?

I would be grateful if you could put the following in the Can you help?
section in Gwreiddiau Gwynedd Roots.
In 1760 a Jane Coningsby married a Griffith Thomas at Llanfihangel
Ysgeifiog, and four other female Coningsbys also married in the same parish
during 1760-70, which I presume must be her sisters, but I have not found
any Coningsby christenings there during the 1730s and 1740s.
Finding the Coningsbys will be complicated by the fact that there are no
Coningsby entries in the name index in Anglesey County Archives, nor in
Griffith's Pedigrees, nor in the index to the Anglesey Antiquarian Society
Transactions. Any information on any Coningsbys in Anglesey (or indeed
anywhere in North Wales) will be most welcome
