Hi Jane
Freebmd gives Ebenezer Richards and Dorothy Morris in the Dec Qtr 1857 at
Haverfordwest. Ref 11a 1241
In the 1841 Census for Dinorwig there does not appear to be an Ebenezer
Richards. However, there is an Ebenezer Davies who is the son of Richard
Davies and is shown as age 10yrs.They are Quarrymen. They are at an address
called Braich Poeth. The family are still there in 1851 but no Ebenezer.
Given patronymics were still evident in the area at that time it is highly
likely that he is your man.I certainly have a number of cases where both
'surnames' were used on various documents
Contact me off list if you want the full census details.

I am looking for a marriage of Ebenezer RICHARDS in Llanrhian to a
Dorothy, probably MORRIS sometime in the 1850s. He was a farmer, but may
have originally been a quarryman. He was originally from Dinorwic in
Gwynedd. He had a son George Henry RICHARDS, born in Llanrhian around 1870.
I expect they had other children, but i know nothing of the family at that
time. George was my gg grandfather.
