Hello Phil,
Hugh Humphrey died in 1823 not 1832, on the 4th of February and was buried
on the 7th February in Maentwrog Church yard.
I don't have any details about the marriages of his children. Have you asked
the NLW for copies of the marriage bond? They don't contain a huge amount of
detail but they do sometimes have an address and the names of the guarantors
can often give useful clues to relationships.
All the best
Alwyn

Hi Listers,
I am related to HUGH HUMPHREY the glover of Tafarn Helyg, Maentwrog through
my ggg grandfather WILLIAM JONES of Penybont, Maentwrog who married Hugh's
granddaughter ELIZABETH PUGH.
HUGH HUMPHREY died in 1832 but I do not know when or where. There is nothing
in the BT for Maentwrog although his wife Catherine's death is recorded in
1819.
I am wondering if I have the right marriage for WILLIAM JONES and ELIZABETH
PUGH.
Entry 145 in the Gwnedd FHS publication " Arfon Gwnedd Cymru 1813-1837 Index
to Marriages " has a William Jones of the parish of Maentwrog MER marrying
an
Elizabeth Pugh of Llandwrog CAE parish by licence on 21st May, 1819.
Any help would be gratefully received,
Regards,
Phil Jones.
