Hi Lorna,
the info is on ancestry. I took the liberty of saving the image so will forward it on
Monday.
I'll also have a look for the other names you mentioned. Ancestry has the census'
back to 61 so your Ellis should be there then.

Hi Hywyn and Dewi ( I love these Welsh names)
Thank you for your replies, they are very encouraging.
I have been searching for my husband's Ggrandfather who came to Australia
from Caernarvonshire but I have had trouble finding his birth. I have now
found his Will written in 1903. He names his brother as a beneficiary which
has given me this address. It's great to, at last, have an area to look in.
Here are the details, all that I know:
Father David JONES, Mother Eleanor ELLIS, no details.
Son Ellis David JONES b. abt. 1840 Wales. A slate miner, a photo of him has
Penrhyn Caernarvonshire written on the back. First known in Sydney 1878, so
the 1881 Census is out.
Son John David JONES. Address 1903 was Mount Pleasant, Gallt-y-Foyle,
Llandnorwig, North Wales. John was known to have children but I have no
names.
Dewi, I was encouraged by the name 'Ellis' in the information you sent. I
would like a copy of the image, is there anywhere on the internet that I can
view it?
Many thanks for any help.
Lorna

Hello Lorna
Mount Pleasant is on a hillside called Gallt y Foel which is
between the villages of Deiniolen and Dinorwig. It is in the
parish of Llandinorwig which itself is within the parish of
Llanddeiniolen in the County of Caernarfon.
The address would be in the village of Deiniolen.
Note that in 1903 the village may have been known either as
Deiniolen or Ebenezer.
The spelling for Caernarfonshire in that time would be Carnarvonshire.
Mount Pleasant still stands today.
Do you have further details that may help in identifying your family?
