Has any list member purchased a copy of the 1841 Census for Merioneth (or
anywhere else) from a company called “Stepping Stones”, and if they have can
they comment on the quality of the images?
I have a copy of the Merioneth census for 1841 from another company, but in
order to save disk space they have reduced the quality of the images which
has made many of them illegible. I don’t mind paying for another version,
but I don’t want to waste money on another CD which is illegible.
So I would like to know if the image quality on the Stepping Stones version
is at least as true as the (often poor) quality of the fiche version or is
“disk space” a more important issue for the production company than
legibility.
All the best
Alwyn
