Hello Ion,
There are no census transcriptions for Pwllheli on GENUKI.
There is a census transcription of the whole of the England & Wales
1881
Census on
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?
PAGE=census/searc
h_census.asp
There are indexes to the 1871 and 1891 Census returns for most of Wales
(including Pwllheli) on
http://Ancestry.co.uk
But one must pay a subscription to see the whole census entry. A
number of
lists members have subscriptions to this service and are willing to do
reasonable lookups from the service if details are sent to the list.
The whole of the 1901 Census for England and Wales is on line at
http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/
For this one, the index is free, but one has to pay a fee to see each
full
entry one finds in the index on an individual basis.
Non internet publications for Census returns include:
http://www.wales-genealogy.co.uk/1841CAE.htm
Who have images of the 1841 Census returns for Caernarfonshire copied
onto
CD for £20 a set
Gwynedd FHS have a printed transcription of the 1851 Census for
Pwllheli for
sale at £8.00 in booklet form or £3.00 on microfiche. Available by
post from
Gwyndaf Williams, G.F.H.S., 1 Tan-y-Cae, Bethel, Gwynedd, LL55 1YA,
Wales.
When looking for references to Pwllheli on census returns remember
that the
returns are often made on a parish basis and the parish that contains
Pwllheli is called DENEIO (sometimes spelled Denio), so if you can't
find
references in any of the above sources to Pwllheli look for Deneio or
Denio
instead.
All the best
Alwyn
