Hi Guys,
My computer just "ate" my response here, so I'll try to reconstruct some
thoughts again.
Geo E. could be brother to Susannah and son of Rachel, IF I have Rachel's
DOB (b. 1761) wrong. Otherwise, she would be birthing at age 11.
Possible -- yes, probable -- I don't think so. Take a hard look at
Jacob's will. He has named both daughters and sons in birthing orders,
with Susannah listed last (i.e., youngest). Also, with Ms. Erwin, a son
George (b. 1770, w/wife Rebecca McKinney) is well documented and naming a
second child "George" within 2 years is doubtful. Don't think you can
realistically fit your Geo E. in here, but I agree, the "Erwin" name does
make one think.
Now for the shocker ------ having looked at the will of Jacob, b. 1729, I
find no mention of Samuel Denton Julian (b. 14 Jul 1780), that most
searchers & researchers (including me) carry as a son of the subject
Jacob is mentioned. I'll defer chasing this until another day, as the
martini is calling and I just found I am doing the cooking on the grill
tonite!
Have a great evening.
Bob

Thanks, Bob.
Isn't it highly probable that the George Erwin JULIAN in 1830 Lawrence
Co, GA is a descendent of Jacob and Ms ERWIN (IRVIN)? Jacob would have
been 43 when son, Geo was born. If Geo E was born abt 1772, wouldn't his
mother be Rachel and full brother to Susannah?

The will below is of Jacob (George, Rene) whose 2d wife was Rachel
Alexander. All the children mentioned are offspring with Ms Erwin,
except Susannah was by Rachel. One witness is father George (Rene).

Betty, the Jacob JULIAN Sr whose spouse is an IRVIN, sorta jumps out to
me. Jacob's 1729 birth date seems quite late though for Mary Bullock
having children for 29 years, but if she started in 1698 at age 15, she
would have been 46 and still in a fertile period of life.
Maybe this is where Bea SNAPP picked up a IRVIN (ERWIN) middle name and
lineage. Of course who is Jacob? Age wish could be son of Stephen, Peter,
George?
Got a guess?
Gary

I've looked and see no William Julian referenced in any book, document,
census, etc. I don't believe he was here.
Here are the Julians in my database. Sorry I haven't figured out how to
make the printout any prettier:

Thanks so much. This is one of the families I am searching for. I
suspect that George Julian Sr. is one of the Loyalists--he may have had
his own land confiscated. His son Jacob was a Patriot, as I understand
it.

This helps me a lot.
Your book doesn't happen to have land in the name of William
Julian/Julien/Julin etc. does it? I think he lived in the vicinity.
