I don';t have a family History centre near me but I have discovered that
Llandudno Arches hold the Llanrwst records. I live in Llandudno So I'll
visit next week

born about 1850.
It's a fairly common name though and may produce more than even two Evan
Joneses.
Are you near a Family History Center/Library where you can order a
microfilm
of the parish records?
