Thought some people might be interested in how to make sure their Outlook
email goes out in plain text:

Setting Outlook Express and Outlook to Plain Text Mode
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK
To send a new Plain Text email select "Actions" / "New Mail Message
Using" /
"Plain" Text from the menu in Outlook. Create your message as usual. Click
"Send" to send it.
To set Outlook to always send in Plain Text Mode, from the toolbar, on the
"Tools" menu, select the "Options.." button, then select the
"Mail Format"
tab. Under "Send in this Format", select "Plain Text", and press the
"OK"
button.
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK EXPRESS
To send a new Plain Text email select "Format" / "Plain Text".
To set Outlook Express to always send in Plain Text Mode, from the toolbar,
on the "Tools" menu, select the "Options" button, then select the
"Send"
tab. Under "Mail Sending Format", select "Plain text". Press the
"OK"
button.
In both Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express:
To set Plain Text format for only SELECTED addressees (e.g. genealogy
addresses such as this Rootsweb one):
In your email address book, create an entry for the Rootsweb genealogy
address. Right click on your entry for that address, then select
"Properties" and then the "Name" tab. At the bottom left is a checkbox
for
"Send E-mail using plain text only". Checking/ticking this box means any
email you send to this particular address will be in Plain Text format, even
if your default format is HTML.
