I believe that you are referring to the book Achau ac Ewyllysiau Teuluoedd
De Sir Gaernarfon by T Ceiri Griffith which does contain numerous family
trees and some wills. This was a volume published privately and sold so by
the author, of Gaerddu Fawr, Chwilog, Pwllheli. Believe it is now out of
print as he brought out an updated and enlarged version but that one does
not contain any wills. These books are to be found however in some Gwynedd
libraries at least
There is a reference to the will of Hugh David [yeoman] Gwastad Annas in
1787. In it he leaves £2 to David Hughes his eldest son; £2 each to the
children of his late daughter Gaenor Hughes, that is Ann, Eleanor and
Griffith, on their 21st birthdays and if one of them dies prior to then,
his/her share was to be split between the two remaining children; £5 to his
daughter Catherine Hughes and £2 each to her children, Hugh, Anne and Jane;
the children of his daughter Eleanor Hughes, that is Robert, Eleanor and
Alice to receive £1 each; £1 to his daughter Jane Hughes; his daughter
Margaret Hughes to receive £4; £1 each to his grandsons Hugh and William,
the children of his daughter Margaret Hughes; William Hughes his youngest
son to receive £60. His wife Eleanor Williams to be appointed his sole
executor. The will was signed on 16 January 1786 in the presence of William
Owen and Evan Griffith witnesses and proved on the 20 June 1787 before J
Kyffin, deputy Bishop. The value of his property, including mainly animals
was £276-18-0 valued by Griffith Howel, John Roberts and David Williams
[This is a translation from what the author had recorded - the original
wills are not contained in his book]

Subject: [GWYNEDD] Book about Bedgelert
Hello list
I have been told that there is a book about Beddgelert that contains wills
from the past, people leaving their beds to their beneficiary etc. Does
anyone know what is the title of this book, author or an isbn number would
be fantastic? I am researching the family of Hugh Dafydd Gwastadannas.
Ruth
