I don't know if my original message was posted.
I had made a mistake - thought I was already subscribed.
So, I'll repeat it in hope and expectation.
1901 census:
My great-aunt, Margaret Jane - ? Maggie - Jones was recorded at the Royal
Oak,
Rachub near Bethesda.
She was 24 years and described
as "licensed".
I wonder if her mother, Mary Hannah Jones, was with her.
Margaret Jones said to have later married and to have a son, Leonard
Sharples, who
died in WW1.
1901 census Caernarfon:
My grandfather was a police constable at Llanrug.
My father was born in Caernarfon 1899.
My grandfather and father were the only links to family in Wales.
They came to Australia in 1911 and 1913 after which there was no further
family
contact.
Any family information would be most appreciated.
It is 50 years since I promised my father that I would find his
grandfather and
that hasn't happened yet.
Marion O'Sullivan.
