G'day Listers
I am attempting to establish if a relationship exists between a David
MORRIS and my maternal family.
In the 1901 Census a grand aunt of mine Elizabeth ROBERTS (1880-1941) is
living as a domestic servant with David and his wife Mary in High
Street, Ffestiniog, by 1911 Elizabeth and her sister Eleanor ROBERTS
(1883-1941) as is Eleanor's base child Elizabeth Llyfnwy (1909-1990) are
living with David (a widower now) still in High Street, and listed as
nieces. My family research in North Wales is around the PRICHARD family
from Menai Gwynion, Llandwrog and the ROBERTS family mainly from
Llanllfyni, I have no known connections with Denbighshire so suspect
that the relationship must come through David's wife Mary.
Hoping that a fellow member can assist and knows the MORRIS family,
other information on David is as follows
David MORRIS born about 1845 in Llanshilan Denbighshire and resided in
High Street, Ffestiniog from about the early 1870's, David married Mary
(ROBERTS?), they had two sons, David (1873-?) and Hugh Griffith
(1877-1938), Hugh became a School Teacher in Holywell, Flintshire,
married Mary Lloyd Ellis in 1903 and they had two children David Robert
Glyn (1906-1983) and Mair Eluned. (1909-?), this is all I know with
certainty of this family.
