Hi
Have sent this message before, but I think from the wrong email address, so
I apologize if you receive it multiple times.
I'm hoping someone is able to help with this . Two of my uncles served in
WW1, they were born & lived in Malltraeth, Anglesey. Robert Ellis Hughes,
born 1894 & Thomas John Hughes, born 7 April 1899. The former survived the
war, but Thomas John lied about his age & was killed. I have been searching
for service information for several years, so many records were destroyed in
WW2. I have found 2 possible Medal Roll Index cards & a possible entry on
CWGC for Thomas. Also searched the web for War Memorials for Anglesey as I
thought this may give some dates. Plenty of memorials but none for
Malltraeth or Trefdraeth. Does anyone know if these exist, & if so where I
might find a record of them? I live in California or I would check myself.
Thank you for any help, also if any relatives out there I would love to hear
from you J. My father was William Williams (Pencob, Malltraeth),
grandparents William Williams & Margaret Hughes, Gt grandparents, Hugh
Williams & Anne Jones, Thomas Hughes & Elizabeth Owens.
All the best
Margaret
