A bit of Hugh Henry Jones' story
" He was the son of Mr and Mrs John Jones, Bron Eryri (previously of
Penybont). As a young man Hugh left to work in South Wales. From there he
went over to America. After some time he came home and then went to South
Africa. He came home from there and then went to Canada. There he moved from
place to place until he reached the Pacific Coast. He then went over to
Australia. There he joined the Army and came back to his old country. By
this time an enemy far worse than the Germans took hold of him and he
received medical treatment at Liverpool but did not recover and died."
Enlisted Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia 29 Dec 1915 - at the time of
his enlistment his address was Chapbury Slate Quarry, Goulburn, New South
Wales. Civilian occupation quarryman.

Thanks for the picture of the grave, I have passed on to The War Graves
Photographic Project in case they do not have that one.
The Australian war graves in North Wales seem to have been all done now, I
cleared up a few of the more obscure ones a few years ago. You quite
often
seem to find people from Australia, Canada etc buried in the area from
where
their family emigrated.
