Hi Maggi,
Just eliminating possibilities really. I've lost or cant
find a John Evans in the Llandderfel area after 1841. I know his wife died
in 1846 : there is a clear gravestone with a ref. to her being the wife of
John Evans, Maesod. The family appears to have broken up/dispersed after
1841 with even young children sent as servants to different households. So
I was just grasping at straws really. Anyway I found the appropriate prison
& workhouse records, but needless to say, no relevant links. The search
continues: in all probability there will be no record of whatever!!!

Hello Graham
Who are you looking for and when? Everyone should be listed on census
returns, but some people are missed out. However institutions filled in
the forms
like everyone else.
I have come across some listed by initials only-I think that was in
Denbigh
Asylum.
