I was born at 2 Friars Terrace, lower High Street (a large house opposite
Friars Road.) Be interested to find out who lives there now. John Cowell, 52
Lon y Bryn,Menai Bridge LL59 5LL, has published a number of small books of
photographs of Bangor. This includes a few different views of High Street.
Well worth a look.

My grandfather, William Thomas lived at 1 High Strret, Bangor around 1891.
He worked for the Chronical Newspaper.
His parents were John Thomas and Mary Hughes.
Henry Hughes and Elizabeth were Mary's parents.

Dear list,
Is anyone interested in the family of Morfa/Morva, Llanaelhaearn, or know
any reference to them from 1800 or before?
I am interested in Owen Griffith, Hugh Owen and John Hughes (in lineal
descent, I think) through the 18th century, John Hughes dying in 1798.
I believe they are connected to my family of Siop, Penycaerau.
Yours,
Ian Thompson
