Subject: [GWYNEDD] Help finding a grave in Dolgellau registration
districtplease
Hello,
I am looking for a grave for someone whose death was registered in
Dolgellau in the Jun 1878 period aged c 53. Her name was Christiana
(possibly nee Reynolds) JONES and she was born c 1825 in Oswestry.
I know her husband John (b 1833 Llangernyw, Denbs), an Estate farm
Bailiff, and daughter Henrietta (b c1864 Berrington, Atcham, Shropshire)
were living at Butchers Row, Peniarth, Llanegryn on the 1881 census, so
she had obviously died by then.
Please could someone advise me which MI booklet I might need to buy to
find this family or possibly look up Christiana's grave if they have any
MI booklets that cover the Dolgelly registration district. (I am also very
curious to know if John was buried with her, as by 1891 he is living in
Llanbeblig, Caernarvonshire, and there seems to be no record of him being
buried there!)
Thanking you in anticipation,
Judith Mair
