Hi Edward,
Looking at the Anglesey baptisms on Findmypast, there are no baptisms for
William Hughes for Penrhoslligwy between 1809 and 1818. Looking at the entry
for Penrhoslligwy on Genuki, the nearest towns are Llanerchymedd and Amlwch.
There are no baptisms for William Hughes for Llanerchymedd for those years.
There are some entries for Amlwch, but none with a wife Elizabeth. The
entries for Amlwch are:
Name year Father Mother
Baptism place
WILLIAM Hughes 1810 Hugh Grace Amlwch (abode Port,
Occupation Weaver)
WILLIAM Hughes 1814 Hugh Margaret Amlwch (abode Port,
Occupation Merchant)
WILLIAM Hughes 1815 Hugh Ellen Amlwch (abode Port,
Occupation Mariner)
WILLIAM Hughes 1818 Hugh Catherine Amlwch (abode
Tynenwydd Rhydygwys [I think!]. Occupation Joiner
Do any of these sound likely? Do you know what his father's occupation was?
The entries with wife Elizabeth are for Holyhead and Llanfflewyn

Subject: [GWYNEDD] William Hughes
I wonder if anyone can help me discover the baptism of William Hughes, born
circa 1813, at Penrhoslligwy, Anglesey. According to William's marriage
entry, his father's name was Hugh Hughes, and I suspect that William's
mother was named Elizabeth.
With kind regards
Edward Roberts
