Ieuan mentions him in his memorial to his mother published in Y Gymraes in

The mention includes the quote <br>
"Yr oedd rhieni fy mam yn dlodion. Nid oedd ganddynt ddim i fyw arno ond
llafur eu breichiau. Priodasant yn ieuanc, a bu iddynt lawer o blant. Y
maent ill dau yn gorwedd yn agos i fedd Llywarch Hen, ym mynwent Llanfor,
gerllaw y Bala." <br>
My mother's parents were very poor. They had little to live on other than
the labour of their arms. Both rest near to the grave of Llywarch Hen in
Llanfor cemetery near Bala.<br>
