Hi Lyn,
It says:
"On the 1st inst, at Towyn, Merioneth, aged 52, William Beck, Esq., formerly
of Shrewsbury."
The same edition also has a short funeral report:
"Towyn
Funeral Obsequies. - In our obituary, in another column, we record the death
of William Beck, Esq., late of Shrewsbury, but for the last eighteen years a
resident in this town. His remains were interred in a vault at the west end
of St. Cadvan's Church, on Tuesday. His kind affable manner, and gentlemanly
demeanour gained for him the highest respect of all classes. The funeral
cortege left in the following order:-
Rev. Titus Lewis, Curate. J. Pughe, Esq., surgeon.
T. P. P. Marsh, Esq., M.D. J. R. Goodman, Esq.
Mr. W. Parry, sen. Mr. Adam Hunt.
UNDERTAKERS.
Mr. J. Jones. Mr. H. Daniel.
CORPSE
MOURNERS.
Captain Crawford, Son-in-Law.
George Downward, Esquire, nephew.
Arthur Beck, Esquire, nephew.
The service was most impressively read by the Rev. Titus Lewis, and the
corpse lowered into its final resting place, "in hope of a joyful
resurrection." The arrangements were admirably conducted, and reflected no
small degree of credit on Mr. John Jones, London House, &c."
Regards,
Keith.

Subject: [GWYNEDD] gwynedd death 1867
Hi,
I am trying to confirm a death for William Beck.
North Wales Chronicle 12 January 1867 has a death for a William Beck who
is
the right age. Would anyone have access to this newspaper article?
I also found a death for a William Beck in January 1867 at Machynlleth.
Perhaps he died there but was from Gwynedd??
Lyn
