Does anyone recognize the following people please:
William Robert(s) EVANS, who in June 1897 gave his residence at the time of his 2nd
marriage as Cefn, St Asaph.
He was a widower, student and lay preacher when he married Mary JONES of Cwm,
Penmachno, and his father was Hugh EVANS, a preacher and traveller.
William, (possibly born Beaumaris, Jun Q 1870) became the Reverend William Roberts
Evans and after the birth of his first son, John Caradoc Evans born at Penmachno in 1898,
the family moved to London, where he was curate of St Peter's Southwark ( in 1904) and
St John the Baptist, Plumstead (1920 - the year of his death).
He had another son, Kenneth Idris Evans born in 1909 at Clerkenwell.
Any help with this enquiry would be much appreciated, particularly finding his 1st
marriage, or learning more about his son, Dr John Caradoc Evans.
Many thanks, Judith Mair
